Based in the bustling city of Singapore, astral is introduced to the world of electronic dance music in the 90's through the music of Orbital, the Orb and Prodigy. astral’s interests in dance music breeds his desire Singapore to learn the art of mixing…
Citing Shiloh, Luke Chable, Hybrid, Benz & MD & Nubreed as his influence, astral’s style spells ‘Progressive & Melodic’. During 2002’s much talked about Heineken THIRST competition (headlined by superstar DJ Paul Oakenfold), astral emerged as one of the top 8 finalists in Singapore. astral also played at Phuture (Zouk Singapore) for Sessions in Mar 07.
Currently astral is part of a US based DJ group, Lunar Entertainment, together with other up and coming DJs from US and UK.
He also has a radio show “astral’s Sunrise Sessions” on www.danceradio.gr which airs every first Sat of the month at 9-10 GMT. As the name suggest, astral’s sets on the show will veer towards more chilled and melodic progressive dance music, making it a perfect start for the day.
Driven by his passion for dance music, astral hopes to be involved in production in the near future.
