Anyone familiar with my mixing style knows I’m fond of using tracks with vocals. Not vocals for the sake of vocals, but vocals that add to the flavor and the feeling of the set. This mix is no different. Using the power of Ableton, all tracks are a combination of two individual tracks, some done in a mash-up approach and some done with re-editing the tracks. Using Ableton to lay two tracks over each other is no problem. What is problematic though, is getting things to sound good and not too busy. I used a combination of EQing the tracks heavily and applying filters to keep things under control.

This mix was the result of two months’ worth of work and I consider it my personal best to date. Enjoy!
