Steve Marx

Steve has been well known on the club scene for some 16 years and, having moved to the UK from Australia in 1996, the popular Aussie caught the DJ bug. Since then, he has been pushing his progressive style on the ones and twos for over six years. As a regular on the Sydney scene, Steve could be found at the famous Hordern Pavillion parties in the late 1980 & early 90’s and developed his interest in electronic music by leading the charge at clubs such as Base and Ziggurat. After joining us unfortunate souls in Blighty, he soon made new friends and was sure to be found in the thick of the action at nights such as Cream, Malibu Stacy & Tyrant. More recently, Steve has had fun at the likes of Fabric, Renaissance and The End. Playing a mix of tough but intricate progressive house alongside up for it breaks, a style which has found favour with crowds all over the capital and abroad, Steve is still excited about good music as the first time he stepped up to the Technics. Nowadays he is as comfortable with CDs and new technology as the trusty vinyl and is developing his production skills for several remix and original artist projects. A DJ of considerable experience, Steve has played alongside Jonathan Lisle, Rowan Blades, Rui Da Silva, Luke Fair and other talented artists whilst running several successful parties such as Shadow (World DJ Day). Whilst promoting Synchronise in London, he met Twisted Melon residents Ben and Francis and the three became good friends; of course they were only too keen for Steve to join in with the madness.
